Dr. Gaskins is an assistant clinical professor in clinical psychiatry at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine where he provides lectures for medical students, psychiatric residents, and forensic psychiatric fellows. He has also spoken with other medical groups including primary care providers, psychiatric nurses, etc., as well as groups of attorneys, social workers, and others that interact with mental health patients or clients.
He is available to give lectures or help lead discussions on a variety of topics including, but not limited to: competency to stand trial, insanity pleas, clinical assessments, psychologic injuries, suicide, civil commitment procedure, malpractice, and restoration of gun rights.
